FlushSaver complies with SAA MP64 - 1995 - 6.4 (3). AAA Smart demand operation.

Back flow prevention devices comply with AS 3500.

FlushSaver comprises four major components:

  1. Power supply.

  2. Solenoid Valve and associated cabling.

  3. 2mm stainless steel “Touch Plate” or “Glass Finish” to trigger waterflow and incorporating the System Controller.

  4. A registered Airgap Valve for backflow prevention.


 
 

POWER SUPPLY:
The power supply converts mains voltage to 24 volt AC, 750mA - 1A output to drive the Controller.

Plugs supplied 2.5m DC type.

SYSTEM CONTROLLER:
(Complies to AS 3112)
This receives the pulse to initiate the flush cycles. User activation by means of a touch sensitive stainless steel pad triggering device – sending output to initiate the opening of the Solenoid Valve.

    • Proprietory “touch” sensor system
    • Input 24V AC (from mains through an adapter)
    • Size 120mm x 75mm x 2mm
    • 2mm thick stainless steel Touch Pad is screwed in a standard G.P.O. mounting bracket (overall size 120mm x 75mm)

Touch Plate / Sensor

SOLENOID VALVE:
A normally closed 25mm Solenoid Valve is installed in the incoming water line. During signal application the Solenoid Valve opens to allow the flow of water. This is governed by the System Controller. All Solenoid Valves are “Water Marked”.

TOUCH PLATE VERSIONS:
We also have available a Touch Pad Tap/Shower which will deliver water for a set (adjustable at installation) times, we would suggest for 10 seconds (delivering 6 litres per minute when including an inline flow regulator and 1 min at 12 litres for the shower unit) An adjustable lockout is also available (adjustable at installation). This will mean that taps can not be vandalised and that water can not be left running. The Touch Plate has worked very successfully as an anti vandalism tool on the “Pan” units and thus would be a good option in public areas.

Solenoid

BACKFLOW PREVENTION VALVE:
A standard back flow prevention valve (this is supplied with each unit) is required to prevent the contamination of potable water supply. A Registered Airgap Valve is required after each Solenoid Valve or one RPZ Valve model 825y (AS 2845 Lic. No 1049) could be used to cover the incoming water line. AS 3500.1.2 1998

PRESSURE REDUCTION VALVE:
In installations where there is high water pressure and flow rates the stopcock may have to be partially closed to prevent water escaping from the Air Gap. This causes water turbulence often resulting in a noisy installation. Should this be the case an ADJUSTABLE pressure reduction valve should be placed in the line before the stopcock. This valve should be adjusted to decrease the pressure to a level whereby the flow rate is not significantly affected.

 

SPECIAL NOTES:

    1. You will require a minimum of 25mm water line into this area to ensure adequate water flow with a 40mm flush-pipe. This should be in a straight line from the Airgap to the back of the “Pan” (variations on this can be used – please enquire).
    2. Exit from the Airgap Valve is 50mm and should run if possible for up to 500mm before being reduced to 40mm – the size of the flush-pipe.
    3. Where there are a number of “Pans” it would be advisable to run a 32mm water line. Minimum water pressure required is 200 KPA (working pressure) with a WATER FLOW of 1.3 LITRES PER SECOND.

    If an RPZ Valve is used instead of Airgap Valves, it needs to be serviced every 12 months.
